With a long history as a fund-of-funds investor, BII is well placed to share experience and good practice.

Since 2006, BII has provided a free-to-use toolkit aimed at private equity fund managers in emerging markets. The Toolkit aims to be both a practical building block for the development of a customised ESG management system, and an easy-to-use reference guide for assessing and managing ESG risks, impacts and opportunities.

This version, released in January 2019, is the fourth iteration of BII’s ESG Toolkit for Fund Managers. The Toolkit is regularly updated as practices and standards evolve.
